The press's share.
PLATE
PLATE is the press's share token: clamp it (deposit it into the press), and qualifying runs can print PAPER to clamped PLATE. It is not staked PAPER, and this documentation does not assign it a dollar valuation.
PLATE supply is 100,000,000, ever:
| Allocation | Amount | Schedule |
|---|---|---|
| LP emissions | 53M | 2 years |
| Bond payouts | 27M | Published bond capacity |
| Team | 10M | 2-year vest |
| DAO | 10M | DAO-controlled |
Clamping PLATE
Clamping means depositing PLATE into the press. When PAPER holds above the expansion threshold and a run qualifies, the protocol prints PAPER to clamped PLATE; PLATE that is not clamped receives nothing from a run. Clamping carries protocol and market risk; it does not create a fixed reward. It also carries a withdraw lockup and a decaying claim window. Read the timing rules before clamping.
